Karaoke Mixer for Beginners

Karaoke machine can be very expensive but if you are looking for a cheap and portable one, you will love this device.

I set up my own karaoke system in less than $35. All I ordered from Amazon was
Karaoke mixer (with dual microphone inputs, echo setting, microphone, and background music volume controls)
Microphone
Microphone cover Foam (to protect from dust, spit and wind interference)

How karaoke mixer works:

The basic purpose of the sound mixer is just to take the karaoke background music as input, mix it with the microphone voice and pass it to the output (speakers).

Look in the reference picture, the karaoke background music from your smartphone, tablet, computer or TV will go into the red and white inputs (IN) of the mixer (marked Orange). The red and white (OUT) inputs of the mixer will go into your speaker system (I put them into my Yamaha receiver’s audio IN) (Marked Green).

 

Karaoke Music and Lyrics:

You can look for some good karaoke songs on YouTube. I usually connect my computer to the TV to display the lyrics. I have also tried mirroring my smartphone to the TV.
